Combining gender equality, leadership, communication and advocacy, Ida has played an important role in the Swedish social debate for many years. She has founded several organizations focused on promoting gender equality. In 2006 and 2007 she started the organizations “You Skate Girl” and “No Limit Skate”, both of which focus on gender equality in skateboard culture. In 2010 she founded the Make Equal foundation, which are solution-focused equality experts who support companies and organizations in the strategic and practical work with equality, diversity and inclusion.
In 2013, she was one of the initiators of Fattarörelsen, which played a crucial role in enforcing Sweden’s consent law. Ida has also started #killmiddag (#globalguytalk) as a way to get boys and men to take responsibility for sexual violence by starting with themselves. Ida has also published books on the theme of gender equality and men’s responsibility. She has received several awards for her work such as “Super Communicator of the Year”, “BRIS Award Winner of the Year” and “Educator of the Year”.
