Beyond Survivors from surviving to thriving – building a life beyond survival

Beyond Survivors is a platform developed by ChildX and coordinated by the organization Footprint to Freedom.

The goal is to support survivor-led initiatives and ensure that survivors are included in anti-trafficking efforts in safe, sustainable, and ethical ways.

Our Projects

Training from Survivors to Survivors

The Beyond Survivors training focuses on what it means to work as a survivor to end human trafficking and sexual exploitation. A key part of the training is safeguarding – tools and strategies for managing risk and ensuring safety.

We emphasize trauma awareness and support self-care. With this in mind, we ask you to carefully read the training introduction and take as much time as you need. If you have any feedback about the training, please reach out to the Beyond Survivors team.

The training has been developed with support from the Oak Foundation, the Sophie Stenbeck Family Foundation, and Sana Labs. At present, the course is available in English only.

About Beyond Survivors

We established Beyond Survivors to strengthen survivor leadership in the field of human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children. Organizations led and driven by survivors have the added strength of representing those who cannot or do not wish to take on a leadership role themselves.

Our goal is to equip survivors with tools to engage in anti-trafficking work in a more structured and sustainable way. We also support survivor-led organizations in their efforts to combat trafficking, and collaborate with stakeholders across sectors to improve survivor inclusion.
