The safety net – For young people

It is important to know that as a young person, you are never to blame if you have been groomed.

It is also important to know that it is not something unusual. Between 2021 and 2022, the number of reported grooming cases increased by 82%.

And most importantly, there is help available.

If you have been or are a victim of grooming or paid sexual abuse, you deserve to get help. Here are some organizations where you can get support.

ECPAT
At ECPAT you can find help, support and knowledge about images, sexual abuse, threats and assaults online or IRL. You can also get help to take down nude photos that have been distributed.

TJEJZONEN
At Tjejzonen you can talk to a Big Sister who will listen to you when you feel you need it. You can chat in one of the two chats or get your own Big Sister Online who you stay in contact with for a year. You can remain anonymous if you wish. You can share your problems, feelings and concerns. Everything is anonymous.

KILLAR.SE
Killar.se offers support to anyone who identifies as a boy or young man between the ages of 10-25. You will find information and stories about what it is like to be a boy and a young man. In the support chat, you can write about any thoughts, concerns or questions. You are completely anonymous.

ELLENCENTRET
At the Ellen Center, anyone aged 15-25 who has experienced some form of sexual exploitation can get support and help. Their anonymous chat is open on Mondays and Thursdays. The Ellen Center is located at Banérgatan 10 in Stockholm. NOVAHUSET
Novahuset is an association against sexual violence that offers support via chat, counseling and accompaniment to medical appointments for those who have been subjected to sexual violence and are over 13 years old. They are located in Linköping but anyone can chat, call or email. They also offer the possibility to meet with a lawyer, where you can freely ask questions about a possible lawsuit or police report. Seeing a lawyer does not mean that you are reporting a crime.

BIG SISTERS
Storasyster welcomes victims of sexual abuse and their families. You can receive support and counseling, trauma counseling or sexological support at the clinic. The clinic is located in premises in Sickla in Stockholm. If you can’t get there, video calls are also available. Big Sister is for those aged 13 and over, and for those under 18 the calls are free of charge.

They also have a chat room open every day of the week, where you can write anonymously to one of the trained volunteers.
