The support cluster against sexualized violence

The support cluster against sexualized violence works to strengthen the support system for children and young people who are victims of sexualized violence. The support cluster currently consists of the organizations 1000 Möjligheter, ChildX, MÄN, Novahuset, Storasyster and Tjejzonen.

Our goal is to have a well-functioning and equal support system throughout Sweden for children and young people (13-25 years) who have been subjected to sexualized violence. Today, the support system for children and young people is fragmented and only a small proportion of all children and young people who are exposed reach the support to which they are entitled. There can also be long queues and waiting times for support in cases where children have found the right support services.

The support cluster enables us to make joint investments in development projects. One example is our joint AI effort in the form of the FRONTA – Future of Online Support AI project. Together with our AI partner Tenfifty, we are developing an AI model that will allow us to share lessons learned, spot trends and act faster on the challenges described by support applicants. Overall, this will lead to a more agile support system where vulnerable children can get the right support at the right time.

The Support Cluster has also released a mapping of the Swedish support system for children and young people exposed to sexual violence. The report “Right support at the right time” highlights in particular the importance of increased information, increased accessibility and increased collaboration between sectors. The report can be downloaded here.

The Sexualized Violence Support Cluster was launched in 2022 as an initiative of the World Childhood Foundation, Stenbeck Foundation and ChildX.
