ChildX launches support cluster

Can AI make support for child victims of commercial sexual exploitation more effective? We explore this further in our support cluster where 1000möjligheter, MÄN, Novahuset, Storasyster and Tjejzonen are included.

These are organizations that already provide low-threshold support to vulnerable children. One of the cluster’s first projects is to develop an AI model that can streamline support and save time for both employees and volunteers, by automatically filling out forms and compiling text documents. The AI model will also help to identify patterns by being able to spot trends early on, which can lead to organizations being able to respond more quickly to challenges described by applicants.

-“One way to strengthen our joint work is to start our AI journey. It is not only an opportunity, but we see it as our obligation to effectively and ethically use AI and become more data-driven to be able to provide more children and young people with more effective support,” says Sara Hugosson, COO at ChildX.

The cluster’s mission is “a Sweden where no child or young person exposed to sexual violence lacks qualified support when they need it.” To achieve this, a strengthened child rights-based low-threshold support and coordination between the field’s actors is required.

The project is an initiative from ChildX, Childhood and Stenbeck Foundation and is done in collaboration with our AI partner Tenfifty. Read more in this article at Tenfifty where ChildX COO Sara Hugosson tells us more.
