Child10 releases report on identifying vulnerable children
Today, Child10 releases a new report produced in collaboration with Atina, Apramp and Gender Alternatives Foundation – three Awarded Members from 2022. The report looks at the barriers to identifying children and young people who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation.
The report is based on what survivors themselves say they see as obstacles, and what survivors themselves believe needs to change. The countries studied in the report are Bulgaria, Serbia, Spain and Sweden, which are the home countries of the organizations behind the report.
– Trafficking and sexual exploitation of children is a transnational crime and it is important that the identification system within Europe is updated, standardized and harmonized so that there are no loopholes in the protection system, says Elise Thoen, Head of International Policy and Programming Child10
