Nadim Ghazale: “Children should never have to bear the consequences of adults’ abuse. We can stop exploitation by spreading knowledge so that more people can identify it earlier, act more decisively, and never look the other way.”
Nadim Ghazale is a former police officer with nearly 20 years of experience in the Swedish police force. He has a strong commitment to safety, crime prevention, and the living conditions of children and young people.
Today, Nadim is the Head of Operations at Nattvandring.nu, a lecturer, and a public commentator. He is a well-known voice on issues related to crime, safety, integration, and prevention, and has, among other things, appeared as an expert on SVT’s Veckans brott.
With his extensive experience in the police force and his focus on the realities faced by children and young people, Nadim brings important perspectives on how adults can prevent vulnerability and create safer environments for children and young people.
How have your experiences with children influenced your commitment?
As a father, and after nearly 20 years as a police officer, I have seen both the strength of children and their vulnerability firsthand. This has made children’s right to safety a deeply personal cause for me — one that I will always fight for.
Why have you chosen to engage in the fight against the sexual exploitation and trafficking of children?
Children should never have to bear the consequences of adults’ abuse. We can stop exploitation by spreading knowledge so that more people can identify it earlier, act more decisively, and never look the other way.
How can we get more people involved in the fight against sexual violence against children?
We need to spread knowledge so that more people can recognise the signs, dare to talk about the issue, and understand that everyone can contribute. A first step can be to learn and share knowledge, support ChildX, or become a monthly donor.
