The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has fundamentally changed both the opportunities and challenges in the work to prevent child sexual abuse.
Helplines report a sharp increase in AI-generated abuse material, and perpetrators are using AI to groom and reach more children faster. At the same time, AI is also being used to counteract child sexual abuse – among other things, as a law enforcement tool and to lower barriers to support. The same technology can thus become an important part of the solution.
It is precisely this duality that we must discuss – and act upon. Therefore, World Childhood Foundation and ChildX are gathering key stakeholders from authorities, the tech industry, research, the judiciary, and civil society for the conference: “AI and the Fight Against Child Sexual Abuse” (livestream from the Vasa Museum in Stockholm).
During the conference, you will receive:
• an updated overview of how AI is changing child sexual exploitation – both how the technology can be misused and how it can be used in the fight against abuse
• insights from authorities, tech, research, the judiciary, and civil society – to build a common understanding and a shared language across sectors
• a focus on gaps and upcoming challenges – and collaborative work forward with ideas and solutions to prevent and combat abuse
Livestream: March 5, 2026 at 9:00 AM (Europe/Stockholm)
