ChildX is a children’s rights organization working to end human trafficking and all forms of commercial sexual exploitation of children. We drive systemic change by influencing policy, legislation, norms and professional practices – always with the best interests of the child at heart and in close collaboration with survivors.
We are now looking for a key person to join our team.
You are responsible for:
- Developing and driving our policy strategy and monitoring relevant policy processes.
- Coordinate and collaborate with others in both the organization and the field as a whole.
- Writing opinion pieces, consultation responses and briefs for meetings with decision-makers.
- Identify, build and nurture relationships with politicians, authorities, key stakeholders and the media.
- Ensure that our advocacy work is strategic, accurate and in line with our values.
- Have overall responsibility for our press work.
We are looking for people who have:
- Solid experience in political advocacy, preferably from civil society, public sector or party politics.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in Swedish and English.
- Ability to move between the strategic and the operational.
- In-depth knowledge of social policy, social law and understanding of municipal and regional governance of welfare systems.
- Ability to identify policy windows of opportunity and trends, both nationally and internationally.
- A passionate commitment to children’s rights and to combating sexual violence.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and use the insights to identify trends, formulate messages, and develop relevant strategies.
- Experience in press work and media contacts.
- Good stress management
- Used to managing and acting on quick decisions
- Used to working in a dynamic work environment
Meritorious:
- Experience working on issues related to violence, sexual exploitation, child rights or human rights.
- Experience in proactively planning and managing media contacts, press releases and interviews.
- Experience in speaking in the media or representing an organization in public.
- Understanding the role of research and how civil society can interact with researchers and research institutions.

About the service
The position is a fixed-term employment with the possibility of extension and is located at our office at Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm. We offer a collective agreement and benefits such as a wellness allowance and flexible working hours, including the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week.
