Girls’ Day: Crime Scene campaign draws attention to girls’ online vulnerability

Online sexual violence against children is increasing at an alarming rate – the situation is urgent. On International Day of the Girl, ChildX, with the support of Unizon and 11 shelters, is taking a stand for girls’ right to safety online . Perpetrators often contact children through social media, and children are exploited where they should be safest – in their own homes.

That’s why we are relaunching the ‘Crime Scene’ campaign focusing on online abuse. We demand that Sweden and the EU act now to protect our children from online sexual violence. Together we can create a safe future, but we must act.
