Our history<\/h1>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>

ChildX was founded in 2014, then under the name Child10, by social entrepreneur Sara Damber together with philanthropists Sophie and Hugo Stenbeck. The business was started to draw attention to and support organizations and individuals who in various ways are fighting to stop human trafficking and other forms of sexual exploitation of children. A central starting point, then as now, is to highlight the vulnerability of children who rarely receive the attention and resources required and who are characterized by perceptions and prejudices about what exploitation looks like. <\/p>\n

An important mission for ChildX since its inception has therefore been to identify, bring together and support organizations fighting for these children, to facilitate cooperation and collaboration, make their work visible and help them increase the impact of their efforts. In recent years, the organization has also worked to raise awareness by compiling research, knowledge and experience in the area to strengthen both individual actors and to provide a basis for decision-makers at national and international level. <\/p>\n

Since 2019, ChildX has been run as a separate organization and has since then expanded both its program activities, advocacy and grants and support to organizations. Today, the organization consists of a strong and dedicated team that is constantly looking for new solutions to improve both protection and support for vulnerable children and to prevent children from being exposed through both campaign and advocacy work and more knowledge for better joint efforts. <\/p>\n
