Victor Grankvist: “We adults have a responsibility to create a safer world for all children, not just our own.”<\/h1>\n

Victor Grankvist lives a life full of voices, laughter and little hands – as a father of six, he knows exactly what it sounds like when children feel safe. But he also knows that not all children get that opportunity. It was that realization that awakened something bigger in him. Today, he is using his voice to create change, not just for his own children, but for all those who still lack the security they deserve. <\/p>\n

How has your experience with children influenced your commitment to children’s rights?<\/strong>
\nI have six children and every day I am reminded of how important it is for them to feel safe. That they can play, grow and be themselves, without fear. But not all children have that security and it is a brutal reality. As a parent, I can protect my own children, but that is not enough. As adults, we have a responsibility to create a safer world for all children, not just our own. <\/p>\n

How do we get more people involved in the fight against sexual violence against children?<\/strong>
\nBy talking about it. By not looking away. And by making it easy to get involved. Becoming an ambassador or monthly donor is a concrete way to contribute, but it’s also about spreading awareness and having open conversations with our own children about safety both online and offline. <\/p>\n

Working with vulnerable children can be mentally challenging. What are your top tips for re-energizing? <\/strong>
\nI love creating, building and renovating. Seeing things take shape. It gives me energy. And of course spending time with my family. Children have the ability to make you laugh and see things from a different perspective. I also try to focus on the fact that we can actually make a difference.
