Child10 and CBSS hosts side event at OSCE-conference in April

Child10, together with the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) is hosting an event on ensuring a child rights-based approach in identifying and providing access to services and justice for child victims of trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. The event will be held on April 6, 2022 at 11 am CET as a side-event to the 22nd Conference of the Alliance Against Trafficking in Persons organized by the OSCE.

During this event a variety of viewpoints will be presented to enhance our collective understanding of how trafficking and sexual exploitation of children is happening both offline and online and how victim identification and access to services can be improved, especially from the perspective of survivors and organizations across Europe working directly with child victims.

The side event also intends to address the cross-national aspect of child trafficking and sexual exploitation and how to improve outreach efforts and identification of victims. We will also discuss recent policy developments in this field and how to ensure effective implementation to stop trafficking and sexual exploitation of children.

Opening remarks will be made by Valiant Richey, Special Representative and Coordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings for the OSCE.
